Mainstreet Dance Connection is a family business that has been a part of the community for decades.  It is owned by Michelle Elliott.  We strive to provide the best instruction possible at an affordable price, as well as to give back to our wonderful Port Huron community.  We are conveniently located on Whipple Street, just off of Tenth Street, in the former Dale Ann School of Dance/Port Huron School of the Performing Arts building.

Lifelong appreciation of dance and lifelong friendships are built at our studio.  Our instructors are accomplished dancers themselves and work hard to give our students individualized instruction in a fun, structured setting.

We offer classical ballet instruction with students able to try pointe when they are mature enough to safely practice this dance form.  Tap dancing is very popular at our studio and many students continue tap dancing as adults.  Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Acro, Tumbling, Musical Theater, and other options are also taught.

Our adorable tiny tots learn about following instructions while developing fine and large motor skills and social skills.  Our grade school students learn about working together as a team and encouraging each other, all while growing as dancers and athletes.  Our teens have opportunities for leadership roles and mentoring while perfecting their skills and taking on new challenges.  It is never too late to start dancing.  All ages and levels are welcome. Click here for the current class schedule.  If you are looking for specific dance instruction, just ask!

Mainstreet Dance Connection hosts a competitive dance team.  We practice weekly and focus on teamwork, skill development, and FUN.  Click here for Dance Team information.

Our yearly spring recital is a first-class production.  We have an exciting theme and students get a chance to be a part of a real theatrical production with great music and beautiful costumes.  Our youngest dancers tend to steal the show with their sheer cuteness, while our more accomplished dancers inspire and entertain with the fruits of their hard work and dedication.  We feature a themed ballet production at each recital where our ballerinas tell a story through dance.  Recital weekend is a really special weekend for our dancers and their families.

Community involvement is a big part of our mission at Mainstreet Dance Connection.  Our students have danced at the Festival of Trees fundraiser for McLaren Hospital and at Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home.  We participate in the Rotary International Parade every summer.  Our Competitive Dance Team works at many community events such as the Port Huron Recreation Department's Halloween Stroll and Taking a Shot at Breast Cancer 5K.  We also collect items around Christmas time to make the holidays a little brighter for our neighbors.
